This ride starts in a community at the fork of the Redwood and Minnesota Rivers in the heart of Minnesota’s plains. An area surrounded by history, Redwood Falls was created around the time of the tragic U. S.-Dakota Conflict of 1862. After the war, settlers returned and rebuilt the community. As you will discover while riding this route, some towns flourished while others quietly slipped away. The route first winds through the rugged gorge in Alexander Ramsey Park, then circles around many beautiful and historic sites influenced by the Minnesota River. From the small town of Delhi, past the Birch Coulee Battlefield, and then down to Morgan, you will discover an area rich in heritage and scenic beauty.
