Located practically in downtown Ithaca, a small farming community, the Jailhouse Trail shares its space with the fairgrounds, giving it a folksy feeling. The short, buffed trail is almost completely flat except for a couple of small hills. A few log jumps and ramps punctuate the trail as it twists and turns through a grove of young trees, occasionally dumping out to open fields. Developed by the Michigan Mountain Biking Association, the trail is marked with large red arrows, and it’s perfect for novice riders new to singletrack. This popular sand-free trail also hosts an annual bike race. Tread: 3.9 miles of singletrack.
