Boasting Macomb County’s highest point, this well-marked 14-mile trail system winds along tight singletracks and wide doubletracks through open, grassy meadows. The route climbs to an overlook then plunges down a series of fast, banked switchbacks. Climbing once again, riders bounce over exposed roots and clamber up a log ramp. Tread: 2.2 miles of singletrack, 2.7 miles of doubletrack.

I found the trail to be family friendly. You can do everything from bike ride, walk, jog, and roller blade. The trail I rode on was an oversized sidewalk with hills throughout. When you finish with your bike ride you could have a picnic, play volleyball, or just relax in the sun and take a dip in the lake.
