Maybury State Park has the honor of being the closest singletrack trail to the western Detroit suburbs. This honor is good and bad. The good news is that the small trail system is well maintained by the Michigan Mountain Biking Association. Constantly rolling, the buffed singletrack is a fast cruiser with a few technical, twisting sections. The bad news is that its proximity to a large population center has resulted in an overused, eroded trail with roots and rutted areas. Because of the heavy use, the trail is occasionally rerouted, and it is closed from December 15 through April 15. Tread: 4.1 miles of singletrack, 1.5 miles of paved path.

This trail is excellent. This trail has since been completely redone, and this map and info is now completely inaccurate. The trail now has a much higher technical difficulty, and it has been lengthened to 7.7 miles. Until they revise this info to be up to date, I suggest looking at the MMBA website for a more accurate and up to date description. This data is about two years old.
