The Farm is an interesting new course designed by the Wisconsin Off Road Biking Association and managed under a new set of standards. The trails are on private land and are only open to WORBA members who have donated a set amount of time to trail development activities. The farmer who owns the land is a mountain biking enthusiast and active racer who was interested in setting up a set of training paths around the edges of his crops. The trail covers three separate sections, two areas of singletrack riding set into the forest and a 0.75-mile section of singletrack connecting the two. The connector path runs along the edge of a corn field on the tree line dividing The Farm from neighboring properties. The surrounding area is beautiful, offering great views at the crests of each hill. The surrounding farmlands roll out to the horizon in all directions with patches of forest scattered throughout. The fields take on a bluish tint at midday and an amber tone from a distance as the sunlight reflects off the crops at sunset. Wisconsin farmland can be some of the most mesmerizing terrain to view from above.
