Sometimes you find the best rides in unlikely places. It's similar to walking in a dumpy-looking little restaurant and having the best meal of your life. The landscape around Game and Norway Lakes seems to fall within yet another transition zone. To the south the land flattens into superb yet featureless farmland, while to the north it wrinkles into an endless line of large and small rolling hills. This region measures 10 by 19 miles wide, extends 150 miles through west-central Minnesota, and contains some of the most unexpected scenery in Minnesota. Numerous glacial features have shaped the area into a landscape that will surprise you. As you pedal through the countryside, you'll see endless hills in a countless variety of shapes and sizes, marshes formed from glacial kettles, and hilltop patches of prairie that alternate with forest and farm fields.
