The town of Green Lake is the oldest resort community in Wisconsin, often billed as the oldest resort community west of Niagara Falls. Portions of the lake are rimmed by stately homes, proof that there's also a lot of old money in Green Lake. Seven and a half miles long, 2 miles wide, and more than 230 feet deep, Green Lake is Wisconsin's deepest spring-fed lake. Green Lake has a number of fine restaurants and an assortment of gift, antiques, and specialty shops. Check them out by riding or walking through the town. Things to see: Green Lake, lakeshore homes, Schwartz Gallery Park, Sunset Park, Lions Park.
