Tony the Tiger lives here as well as Snap, Crackle and Pop. You won't see them on the ride, but you will see evidence of their bosses. Known as "Cereal City" or the "Breakfast Capital of the World," Battle Creek is home not only to Kellogg and Post but also a great linear park. The paved Battle Creek Linear Park passes through the city, runs along water and woods, and is so well marked that you cannot lose your way. It begins in the Downtown Riverfront Park, located on both sides of the Battle Creek River. The park features old-fashioned streetlights and colored bricks laid in interesting patterns. There are benches and bridges to use for different views of the river as it meanders through the downtown park. Things to see: Riverfront Park, Kalamazoo and Battle Creek Rivers, the Underground Railroad Sculpture.

I didn't ride this trail, but I hiked part of it while geocaching. One section (on the North side of the river) had a lot of trash on it and was very close to the road. The section to the south of the River was much quieter and more wooded. There was also less trash.

Great ride. Nicely marked. Easy ride along a very scenic river. Good spots downtown after the ride to get something to eat. Team Active bike shop right at trail head. Incredible shop !!!
