The trail traverses the low ridges and tributaries of Cedar Creek, crossing that stream at two points. Total mileage of all loops is 35 miles, but only the first 8 miles north of from Pine Ridge are really good for mountain biking. Seven of these miles are single-track, and the remainder follows a gravel county road. The trail is hardpack and can be quite muddy after rainfall. Equestrians can make the trail really rough when it's wet. With the exception of a few steep pitches, all of this trail can be handled by beginners. The remaining 25 miles are also open to mountain bikes, but use gravel roads or single-track when the trail is in poor condition. You will enjoy your ride more if you use the first eight miles of trail as an out-and-back ride. This trail is located 18 miles southeast of Columbia.
