The 36.1-mile Cedar Mountain Cruise makes a loop from Brevard through the small communities of Pisgah Forest, Little River, Cedar Mountain, and Connestee before returning to Brevard. Offering great variety, the route winds through the French Broad River valley on fairly level roads. As the route dips into Henderson County, you’ll encounter some climbs. After a level stretch along the first section of the Greenville Highway, the roads begin to curve, dip, and climb as you approach Connestee. The section of the route north of U.S. Highway 64 is quite hilly because it lies at the base of the surrounding mountains —but you’ll be rewarded with some gorgeous views.
