The Southern Pines Ramble is a short, easy ride that will fully acquaint you with some of the history and the distinctive character of this charming town. The main street, with its graceful magnolia trees and central railroad tracks, retains the ease and spirit of a bygone era. The ride starts at one of the major estates in the town, which is now a cultural center, then winds through some of the beautiful streets with large seasonal homes before heading toward the Weymouth Woods Nature Preserve. After this brief foray into the more rural parts of town, the ride returns to town via Indiana Avenue and circles through some downtown streets before returning to the Campbell House.
