The Pink Beds is just about as easy a trail as you’ll find in Pisgah. It doesn’t drop more than 40 feet in elevation along its entire length. And yet, it’s still Pisgah, with enough roots, rocks, and logs to keep you grinning.
While you used to be able to loop this trail with Forest Road 1206, some industrious beaver families have claimed the bottom for themselves and thrown up a formidable moat around their property. So until our fat-tailed brothers decide to move on, this trail is an out-and-back ride or a swim, take your pick. Tread: 4.6 miles of singletrack; 0.8 mile of gravel road.
