I’d consider this trail the perfect sampler for a novice rider who has bellied up to Pisgah’s fat tire feast for the first time. Pine Tree offers up enough fun to get friends hooked on riding, and enough scary stuff to keep them humble. It also makes a fine appetizer for advanced riders before moving on to the main course in the mountains above. Tread: 2 miles of singletrack; 3.4 miles of gravel Forest Service road.
