Don’t know if you’re up for Pisgah’s charms? This short loop offers a chance for some easy speed, some respectable roots, and an advanced stream crossing before the quick return back to the start. If all that does is whet your appetite for further adventure, then check out the Buckhorn Gap Loop or parts of Big Avery Creek. This is a good trail to gauge an unknown rider’s skills on before venturing on to the serious riding that awaits up above. Tread: 1.8 miles of singletrack; 0.4 mile of gravel road.
