If you just want to enjoy the downhill and don’t want to bother with long climbs or gnarly track, then you need to make several loops around Supertree. Once you start descending, it gets fast as hell with wide bermed turns swooping through the trees and a dozen or more magnificent water bars for some supreme air. An easy return back up Wood Run Road sets you up for multiple trips around, sort of like a free pass to your favorite ride at the carnival. Tread: 1.5 miles of singletrack; 2.2 miles of dirt and gravel doubletrack; 4 miles of gravel road.

Third trip to this trail. First third is gravel road to the top of the mountain. But once you get there and start the downhill section this trail really starts to shine. Will allow you to go as fast as you dare but rocky with plenty of chickenheads to catch you out. Not a technical trail but fun as hell once you start the downhill

The trail was pretty week. The review says there is good down hills without any hard up hills. There is one good downhill, however, it has a lot of loose gravel and rock. Other than that, there was just as much uphill as there was downhill. Also there is nothing to jump at all. The entire trail is clear and there wasnt one place that I thought I could catch any air. Dont let the reviews fool you, it is not as easy of a ride as it states and you will probably be disappointed.

Went for a weekend geataway-anniversay expedition. Worst place we could have picked. Park rangers will definitely hassel you from the beginning! Don't waste your time!

This trail and Keyuawee make up some of the best riding in central NC. This loop is easier than Keyuawee, but is still very fast and fun. I suggest checking the Uwharrie Mountain Biking Resource web site for current info: http://www.us-webnet.com It's a great site and has just about everything you need to make a trip.
