This ride's general location is 30 miles north of Roanoke. Scenery is densely wooded. This really neat loop completely encircles 5,700-acre Barbours Creek Wilderness Area on a combination of gravel forest roads, double-track, and single-track, none of which enter the wilderness area. This ride offers a combination of stiff climbs, technical stuff, and a downhill at ride's end that's guaranteed to paint a permanent grin on your face. The physical and technical demands of this loop will be appreciated by intermediate and more experienced riders.
