We rode from the Bennet Springs parking lot and biked the fire trail to Little Bell and then School House. We were cooled by the poring rain and enjoyed calf deep water crossings. Beginning Mountain biker so we are on advanced beginner trails. The cove has it all and I can't wait to see more of it!
You gotta ride it!. Fantastic, well maintained trails. Something for every level of mountian biker. Start with the "Flats" everything you want in a ride. If you want more climb to the top of the mountian and hold on.
You better check this place out. More single track than you can shake a chain at.Every thing from climbs to fast downhills or techno to easy trails. Check out eastcoasters.com for great maps
This area is right in my back yard. There is over 13,000 acres to ride in. It is now legal to ride within the Carvins Cove area. At the present time there is probably around 60 miles of trail to ride. Of the 60 miles, 30 miles would cover most of the single track. Sweet area. Beautiful views, some awesome downhill runs, The Gauntlet, Bucks Rutt, Clownhead and Stickman to name a few. Roanoke has got it all, from beginner to Extreme. ENJOY!
IF YOU CONTINUE ON THEIR IS ABOUT 60 MILES OF TRAILS ALL AROUND THE COVE AREA
A LOT OF SINGLETRACK AND FIRE ROADS
