This ride's general location is 15 miles west of Lexington. Scenery includes breathtaking panoramic views of the Shenandoah Valley. You're sure to flip over the endless views from atop this particular North Mountain. The orange-blazed trail is relatively easy to follow, but in tricky places you can also look for the faded blue blazes that previously marked this route to the top of North Mt. The loop combines grassy double-track, single-track, and gravel forest roads to create a really awesome ride. Intermediate and better riders will love every aspect of this ride, but the climb may be too demanding for those with less ability or experience.
