This ride's general location is 5 miles west of Warm Springs. Scenery includes world-class lodging, trout fishing, and a restored antebellum mansion. The loop through Hidden Valley in the far reaches of Bath County was one of those pleasant surprises. Starting with an easy flat stretch along and through the Jackson River, you'll ride on double-track and forest roads that circle Little Mountain before you return to the start on a 2.5-mile downhill.
Some ups and downs will get your heart and lungs working, but it's nothing that even novice riders with a moderate level of fitness can't handle. The appeal of this locale is long-standing-in fact, ongoing archeological excavations at Hidden Valley have traced a Native American presence back 9,000 years.
