This ride's general location is 15 miles west of Staunton. Scenery includes hardwoods in various states of growth. This loop is a good route for the family wanting to have a picnic and/or fish at Braley Pond and then cycle on a double-track trail winding through mature hardwoods. The downside is the 3.5-mile section along heavily traveled US 250. More advanced riders looking for technical single-track with much more climbing can follow a set of double blazes on the right side of the trail just after the first creek crossing after Braley Pond. This other route leads to the Bridge Hollow Trail outside Ramseys Draft Wilderness. If you take this alternate you'll have to ride back along US 250 or do an out-and-back along the same route.
