This ride's general location is along the Potomac River in northern Virginia, from Theodore Roosevelt Island south to George Washington's plantation below Alexandria. Scenery includes grand views of the Potomac. The trail is incredibly scenic; whether you prefer viewing wildlife on a lush, 240-acre wetland to enjoying stunning views of the river and the skyline of the nation's capital, or watching 727's take off and land at National Airport. George Washington's eighteenth-century plantation is the southernmost terminus of the trail and is open to visitors every day.

This is not a mountainbike trail, but a paved multi-use trail. Trail sees lots of use on weekends and holidays. Flat and easy making it great for family rides.
