This very scenic and quite hilly ride includes a number of points of interest. Though none of the climbs are real killers, some are long and gradual, so there is plenty of time to enjoy the panoramic mountain vistas. You can expect 15 miles of "mountain flatness" on your return (no road is truly flat in the mountains). You'll then travel through downtown Marshall and past the Rock Cafe, which you may have seen in the film "My Fellow Americans." Points of interest: Downtown Marshall community and courthouse; Rock Cafe (used in film "My Fellow Americans"); Ledges Riverside Park along French Broad River.
