This ride is an addition to the Rose Garden route. It's fairly easy and passes through the attractive north Asheville neighborhoods- expect to see many large beautiful homes. For two and a half miles you will ride along a ridge with nice views of Asheville and the historic Grove Park Inn. The climbs encountered are minor and there is one exhilarating, steep descent with sharp, hairpin curves. At the bottom, you'll pass by a block-long rose garden in the median. Points of interest: Grove Park Inn; Rose Garden; Beaver Dam Lake (half-mile side trip); Botanical Gardens at UNCA.
