This is the hard way to get to High Falls of the Cheat on Shavers Fork of the Cheat River - a mini-Niagara. You connect an abandoned railgrade by taking High Falls Trail over Shavers Mountain. It's rather steep and rooty in places. Once on the other side, the route follows beside a railroad for two miles before picking up the old railgrade again. It's smooth riding from here to the finish.
