This is a simple, 13-mile ride that’s great for getting into shape for longer rides. It includes a 6-mile loop you can ride a few times for a longer workout. You can even switch modes by bringing mountain bikes to ride the 20 miles of fire roads through the dense forest of this unusual national park. Before setting out, keep in mind that a few of the fire roads are closed to bikes. Check with the ranger before revving up the stump-jumper. He or she will give you a map showing approved routes. When this was written, routes not recommended for biking included the North Orenda Road and Old Pyrite Road. A park spokesperson also warned bikers against riding on the 35 miles of hiking trails. “Our rangers are ready to nab ’em,” she said. There’s excellent camping (both tents and trailer hook-ups) should you wish to stay over to spend a second day hiking.

this was my first trial ride and i was very dissapointed. first thing is that i have a mountain bike and all they had was fire trials which you couldnt leave. since it was my first time on a park trail, i ACCIDENTLY went down a hiking trial which was the terrain i was looking for. if you have a road bike then it would have been for you
