This route is the next step up in difficulty when it comes to riding in the Flatwoods. It’s longer, there are some technical sections, and there are some hills to climb. You get to go down a few, too, and they’re a real hoot. The ride surface is 6.2 miles of double/single track. Highlights include small stream crossings, rocky sections, sandy sections, washout areas, whoops, and short steep climbs.

Too many of these trails have been converted to gravel roads. Thomas Cemetary trail, Bridge rd., Buck Forest are all gravel and quite boring. However Jim Branch and Ridegline are lots of fun.
