The trailhead is approximately 12 miles west of Kentville. This ride begins near the lighthouse at Black Rock Beach on the Bay of Fundy. Beginning your ride from this scenic site may tempt you to advance no further- after all, what could possible offer more in the way of scenery than this spectacular coast? Indeed, across the road from the trailhead, ancient rocky shores will invite you to roam at your leisure, scrutinizing the lava rock and searching for marine life. However, on this 18-mile loop, you will gain an enlightening perspective on the area by climbing to great heights from which you will be able to survey your surroundings. You will travel from the coast, up over the North Mountain, and down the other side into the Annapolis Valley. There you will ride through rich orchard lands before returning to the coast.
