Rode the Christina Lake to Castlegar section at the end of the summmer...the changes and improvements are wonderful. The Bulldog tunnel (1 KM long!) has been shored up, the entire section has been ditched and lots of new culverts installed. This is a most senic section of the KVR/Trans Canada Trail and should be top priority to ride.
Day trips are possible as the average ride is about 5 hours from Farron to Castlegar. Get a shuttle at Christina Lake (WildWays bike shop) and start at the Paulson Bridge, or get picked up at the other end
This was the worst i have ever been on, while there was a lot of positiveaspects of this trip, there were too many fallbacks like all of the slides and rock falls and washouts along the rail bed.
