Lake Sylvia State Park has something for everyone: logging history and operations, a dam, a 30-acre lake, camping, picnicking, and any number of great trails to explore. Two of these trails—the Sylvia Creek Forestry Trail and the Lake Trail—are featured here.
Both are secluded in a forest of western hemlock and Douglas fir, some of which are part of a working tree farm. Though the trails are managed by two different agencies and for different purposes, they are contiguous and offer a similar forest experience and a great workout.
