It’s not hard to see why the 4.4-mile out-and-back Honaker Trail is one of the coolest hikes in southeastern Utah. Switchbacking down nearly 1,200 vertical feet from the canyon rim to the San Juan River, the trail offers amazing views of the river-carved canyon. From the rim this picturesque location offers gorgeous views of Monument Valley to the south, and it is located not too far from Cedar Mesa and just down the road from Goosenecks State Park.
