“The Quandary Peak Trail was surprisingly more difficult than I thought. After leaving tree line, the boulder field and scree were monotonous and tricky . My entire family was able to reach the summit at 10:45 am on Fri., July 21st. ( ages ranges from 10 - 60) The most difficult part Quandary Peak was going downhill after reaching the summit. “An epic hike in Rocky Mountain National Park. It is tough and definitely not for the faint of heart! We hiked to Boulder Field on the first day and camped, then went to the summit. I loved this as a backpacking/overnight trip, but anyone who hikes this in one day is my hero. It is SO amazing.”

“This is a great place to hike and camp to make it a multi-day trip. The trails and campground are both really well maintained. The area gets its name from the tors, which are large rocks that rise up out of rounded hills. They sort of remind me of Stonehenge a bit and seem a bit otherworldly. It's definitely a place to get some amazing photos and the scenery and views are fantastic. Like a lot of hikes in Alaska, make sure you bring your mosquito repellent with you.”

“This isn't a very difficult trail at all but it is pretty and has a waterfall. You can see the Potomac river and there's some rock scrambling for a more interesting hike. The big downside is it can crowded in the summer but if you like hiking with people around than it's a definitely one you should try out.”
