These remote areas are for the more adventuresome and hardy fly fisher. We fly fish this area using 4 wheel ATVs for leg power and to get around some of the rocks. This area can offer the dedicated fly fisher many and diverse opportunities including sight casting to cruising fish or working the rocky structure. Punta Colorada, one of the older hotels in the area, advertises as the roosterfish capital of Baja. There is plenty of fish structure in the shallow water in front of the hotel. A long sandy beach leads south to the lighthouse at Punta Arena. One can stay here, wake up in the morning, walk out to the water and start fishing.
