Things to Do in St. Marteen
Though the island of St. Marteen in the Caribbean may be small at only 35 square miles, it is big on opportunities for the outdoor enthusiast. As small as this island may be, it has bragging rights for being the tiniest land mass in the world that has two governments owning it. The French own the southern portion of the island and the Dutch own the rest. St. Marteen offers beautiful beaches for the visitor to enjoy as well as hiking, nature viewing, swimming, diving, snorkeling, fishing, boating and horseback riding.

Loterie Farm

If getting lost in nature's spectacular beauty is what you are looking for, check out Loterie Farm. The farm was established in 1721 as a sugar plantation and is situated on some of the prettiest land the island has to offer. Visitors can hike through the 135 acres below the Pic Paradis, which is the highest peak on the island. More adventurous visitors can use the zipline to see the forest and venture through the various obstacle courses. The farm grows its own mangoes, bananas, coconuts and other tropical fruits that are used at the farm's lounge and café.
