Elmendorf Vacation Ideas
Whether vacationing in Elmendorf, Texas, or, more specifically, Elmendorf Lake, there are a number of great outdoor activities and trails for your whole family. Don't forget to take all the gear and equipment you'll need to participate in such outdoor activities as soccer, hiking and running.

Elmendorf Lake

For a day of recreation, visit Elmendorf Lake. Pack a family picnic, play a game of Frisbee, or take a short walk. If traveling with kids, take sports balls or water balloons for a day of fun in the sun. Let the kids kick around a soccer ball, or set up a net for a family game of volleyball. A single loop trail in the park is appropriate for walkers of all fitness levels and for families. Drinking water, toilets and picnic facilities are also available. Pets are not allowed in the park. Make your way to the Elmendorf Lake Dam, which was originally named 19th Street Labyrinth Weir Dam in 1967 when it was completed. The dam is made of rock and soil, and is 10 feet high and is 2,000 feet long.
