The Best Tropical Vacations for a Single Vegetarian

The Best Tropical Vacations for a Single Vegetarian
Being single and a vegetarian can present some challenges for anyone planning a tropical vacation. In many destinations, especially the singles oriented all-inclusive resorts, barbecue night is a prime event of the week. While you might hope to meet your one and only on a tropical vacation, your fantasies about a future together probably do not include a freezer full of hamburger meat. Fortunately, there are a number of tropical destinations that are perfect for vegetarians.

Best Singles Travel offers a variety of singles vacation weeks in Cancun, Mexico. They use the Gran Caribe Real Cancun Hotel, home to a beachfront restaurant called Gaviotas. The hotel website says Gaviotas caters to every type of dining preference, including vegetarians. Activities include kayaking, snorkeling and scuba diving.

World Wildlife Vacations

Although the World Wildlife Foundation vacations are not specifically for singles, their website says many solo travelers participate in their trips. Additionally, special diets can be accommodated. There's also a greater possibility of meeting fellow vegetarians when traveling with people interested in wildlife conservation. The World Wildlife Foundations offers trips to a variety of tropical destinations, which are known for their abundance of fruits and vegetables. These trips also focus on outdoor activities. For example, there's a snorkeling trip to Thailand, and a multisport trip to Espiritu Santo Island on Mexico's Baja Peninsula, which offer hiking, kayaking and snorkeling.
