Anglers staying at Spanish Main RV Resort can fish for free from the on-site fishing ponds or head off site to the lake to fish for catfish or sunshine bass. Hikers can travel north to traverse the Dead River Trail and the Hillsborough River State Park Nature Trail.

Bay Bayou RV Resort

Bay Bayou RV Resort is northwest of downtown Tampa, along the winding Double Branch Creek. Each campsite can accommodate large vehicles and provides electric, water and sewage hook-ups as well as wireless Internet and cable television.

Guests can fish from on-site docks for trout, catfish and redfish, as well as obtain boat launches for kayaking and canoeing on the creek. The nearby 2.2-mile-long Philippine Park Trail parallels the shore, offering scenic views and wildlife watching.

Tampa South RV Resort

Tampa South RV Resort is located 24 miles south of Tampa, near Manatee Harbor on the waterfront of Little Manatee River. The campsites come with full utility hookups. Guests have access to a laundry room, restrooms and wireless Internet service.

Anglers can utilize two on-site fishing piers with fish cleaning stations. The campground rents 19 boat slips for use at the marina. The Little Manatee River Loop, just north of the resort, provides hikers six miles of hiking through natural wildlife habitats.
