Silver Lake State Park

Silver Lake State Park is located between Silver Lake and Lake Michigan in the heart of the Silver Lake dune system. It is a 3,000-acre park and includes both dunes and forest areas where hiking and swimming opportunities are abundant. Hiking on the dunes is a particular challenge, as rolling sand hills stretch on and create an experience often equated to desert hiking. The park's shoreline is four miles long and includes a 450-acre off-road vehicle area, the only one of its kind in the state. A boat launch is also located in the park. The campground area has 200 sites with electrical hook-ups and indoor restroom and shower facilities. Rustic sites are also available at the modern campground for a reduced price. A boat launch and swimming area are located on site.
