Camping Grounds Near Frisco, Texas
Nicknamed Texas' Rising Star, the city of Frisco lies just north of Dallas. Although the city does not provide any camping accommodations, nearby Lewisville Lake offers many options for travelers who are looking for campgrounds. Many small towns around the lake boast a multitude of tent and RV campgrounds that vary in both price and amenities.

Hidden Cove Park

Located on the west side of Lewisville Lake, Hidden Cove Park offers much to visitors who enjoy the water. A large marina on the lake hosts 350 boats and provides a refueling dock, boat ramp and boat rentals. Campers staying at the 470-acre park can take advantage of activities such as water skiing, fishing and hiking. RV campsites come with water and electricity hook-ups; campsites with sewage are optional. Tent campers can choose from designated sites, walk-in sites or primitive sites in remote locations that they can hike to. The park charges a nominal fee for day-use visitors as well.

Public grills, restrooms and multipurpose fields are available to campers, but there are no showers on-site. Visitors can access campgrounds and the boat ramp for no fee. Swimming from the sand beach is at your own risk as there is no lifeguard on duty. Two trails begin in Little Elm Park, the Cottonwood Nature Trail and the Johnny Broyles Nature Trail. The Cottonwood Nature trail is 1.5 miles long and covered in wood chips. Johnny Broyles Nature Trail is mostly paved to allow for pedestrians and cyclists. Campgrounds are open year-round.
