Camping at Table Rock Lake in Missouri
Table Rock Lake was built by the Army Corps of Engineers, and has become a popular vacation spot for outdoor enthusiasts. It is also close to Branson, making it even more convenient. There are 23 campgrounds on the lake operated by the Corps of Engineers.

There are many private campgrounds, and more than 100 resorts with lodging to suit any taste. Boat rentals are available, and boat cruises are held on the lake each summer.

Table Rock State Park

Table Rock State Park has two campgrounds and offers different levels of services at both. There are sites with full hookups--water, sewer and electric--with 50-amp connections. There are also sites with just water and electric, as well as primitive sites.

Reservation are accepted from March through November. There is a dump station, restrooms and showers available. The park is open in winter, but only one bathroom is open, and no reservations are taken. There is a public use building, boat ramps and a pier. Several wilderness trails meander around the lake, and there is a playground.

There are 43 primitive sites, 78 with electricity and 41 sites with full hookups, covering both campgrounds. The two campgrounds are very similar, and both have sites on the water.

Table Rock Lake

The Army Corps of Engineers operates 23 campgrounds around the lake, overseeing hundreds of spaces. Some campgrounds have full hookups, while some are more primitive in nature. You can find a secluded campground where the only sounds are those of nature. Other sites have planned activities, restrooms, showers and a concession store.

Two of the campsites have full-service marinas, which can take care of and service your boat. You may also rent a boat, or charter a tour of the lake.

Of the 23 campgrounds, 13 have full hookups available, two have primitive camping, and the rest have electricity. All the sites have restrooms.

Bar M Resort and Campground

While there are many campgrounds operated by the state or federal government, there are also several modern resorts that offer many services.There are more than 100 resorts or private camping areas in the immediate area.

The advantage to these resorts is that they are close to the action of Branson, but far enough away to avoid the traffic. One such resort is the Bar M Resort, which has more than 100 sites with full hookups--water, sewer and electric--with 50-amp connections. There are several bathhouses and restrooms, a swimming pool and access to the lake.

The resort has many amenities including a hot tub, game room, playground, Basketball, volleyball and horseshoes, boat ramp, boat dock and boat rentals.
There is a public use building and a convenience store.
