Things to Do in Hawaiian Village
The Hilton Hawaiian Village Beach Resort & Spa on Waikiki covers more than 20 acres of beachfront property. Situated 20 minutes from Honolulu International Airport, the Hawaiian Village specializes in fun activities and things to do, to the point where many guests do not even feel the need to explore the rest of the island because they are having too much fun at the resort.


Every Sunday through Thursday night, the Hawaiian Village throws a rooftop luau for all of its guests. Traditional music, food, and contests like conch shell blowing and pineapple tossing fill the evening's agenda. The evening concludes with a Samoan fire-knife dance.

Rockin' Hawaiian Rainbow Revue

Every Friday night at the Super Pool, the Rockin' Hawaiian Rainbow Revue entertains guests with traditional Hawaiian music and hula dancers. The show concludes with a magnificent fireworks display.

Live Music

All week long, many local Hawaiian bands perform live acoustic and traditional music at various locations throughout the Hawaiian Village including the Tapa Bar, the Rooftop and by the pool.

Torch Lighting Ceremony

Every day as the sun goes down, the Hawaiian Village becomes a glow in torch light. Members of the staff light the many torches throughout the village to give the resort an authentic Hawaiian atmosphere.


The Hawaiian Village has seven unique swimming pools including the Paradise Pool water park with its four water slides and three waterfalls, the Keiki Children's Pool, and Duke Kahanamoku Saltwater Lagoon. Lush tropical foliage and flowers surround each pool's sundeck.

The Beach

The Hawaiian Village sits on one of Waikiki's widest strands of beach. Guests are free to run around, swim in the ocean, or just lie on the beach and soak in the seemingly endless sun, all within steps of their room. Guests can rent chairs, lounges, umbrellas, and tubes directly from the resort.


The Hawaiian Village offers guests the opportunity to rent watersport equipment by the hour including kayaks, aqua cycles, boogie boards, and surfboards. Guests can also participate in fully instructed surfing lessons.

Atlantis Submarines

The Atlantis Submarine tour docks directly at the Hawaiian Village. Guests dive 120 feet below the ocean in a real submarine to view the artificial reefs of sunken planes and boats, which are filled with fish and other exotic sea wildlife.

Spa and Fitness Center

The Hawaiian Village's on-site spa and fitness center offers a wide range of full-body spa treatments, a hair salon, whirlpool and workout equipment.

Rainbow Express Keiki Club,

The Rainbow Express Keiki Club is designed to provide fully supervised entertainment for children ages five to 12. Activities include arts and crafts, swimming, sand castle building and fishing.

The Village Gardens

Guests can walk through the gardens of the Village that cover almost the entire resort. The sculpted gardens display exotic plants from Hawaii and other tropical locations.

Adventure Tours

Directly through the front desk at the Hawaiian Village, guests can arrange to participate in special adventure tours with private outfitters. Tours can include swimming with dolphins, shark cage diving, SCUBA diving, snorkeling, para-sailing, waterfall hikes, jungle tours and volcano tours. Many times the price is a set fee that includes equipment, transportation, admission fee, and occasionally lunch.
