There are beginning, intermediate and advanced swimming lessons through April, and children as young as 6 months may enroll in classes. Parents must be present during lessons for children under age 4, and children 4 or older can attend some of the more advanced swimming classes on their own.

Camp Wilkes Youth Camp

Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and other children of all ages have participated in outdoor activities like hiking, swimming, camping, and picnics at Camp Wilkes Youth Camp in Biloxi since the late 1930s. Camp Wilkes offers amenities such as a BB gun range, an archery range and an amphitheater. There are cabins with electricity, water, kitchens, heating, air conditioning, bunk beds, showers, and bathrooms. Renting canoes is an option for those camping at Biloxi's Camp Wilkes, and campers under age 16 can rent required personal flotation devices for just $1.

Harrison County Skate Park

Children interested in skateboarding can find an area to satisfy their interests no matter what their skill level at Harrison Country Skate Park. Ramps, a concrete pool, and a skate park are just a few of the amenities at this Biloxi facility. The advanced side of the skate park features higher walls and bigger humps, while the beginner side offers skateboarders a number of quarter pipes. For those not interested in skateboarding, there is an indoor hockey arena. The skate park is open until 7 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, until 5 p.m. on Sunday, and closed on Mondays.
