While the number isn't higher than others on our list, it represents reviews from 32 separate reviewers, indicating a strong consensus that this is a quality toilet. Larger than the Palm Springs, the 10-gallon Visa 268 includes a 3.7-gallon fresh-water tank and 6.2-gallon holding tank. The toilet includes level indicators for both tanks, so that you can easily see when they're getting full. A leakproof, odor-proof seal prevents any unpleasant smells or spills. Other features include an air vent for discharge, high-gloss surface for easy cleaning, two-directional rinse and piston-type flush system. The toilet comes with a 4 oz. sample of deodorizer.

Cleanwaste Wag Bag/Go Anywhere Waste Kit

The above toilets will work great at your campsite, but are really designed for car camping. Reliance Luggable Loo

If you're not into buying expensive, complicated contraptions just to do your business in, the Reliance Luggable Loo is a simple, inexpensive wilderness toilet solution. Essentially a 5-gallon bucket with a toilet seat on it, the Loo cost just $18 in 2010. The bail handle provides reliable transportation and Reliance's treatment packs and bags can be used to solidify, deodorize and dispose of the waste. Three REI reviewers gave a rating of 4 stars and 11 Amazon users rated it 4.5 stars.
