Treasure Island, Florida, sounds like a pirate destination. In fact, it is a small beach-front community in west-central Florida. Treasure Island is fortunate to have many different types of fishing, including fly, light tackle and inshore and offshore angling. Inshore fishing trips go for snook, tarpon and redfish. There are several charter and guiding operations offering trips into the back-bay and inshore waters around Treasure Island. Anglers need a valid Florida fishing license.
