Adventure Bound Camping Resorts

Adventure Bound Camping Resorts
Adventure Bound Camping Resorts is a national chain of nine family-oriented RV-and-tent campgrounds. One major advantage of camping chains like Adventure Bound is that they have a fixed set of standards. Every campground will have its mix of amenities and particular setting, but just like a hotel or fast food chain, they all have the basic set of services. This predictability reduces some of the burden of planning a family camping trip.

Tucson, Arizona

Cactus Country RV Resort is Adventure Bound's sole camping resort in the Southwest. Despite being a developed RV park, the campground offers a real desert camping experience, with far more cacti than shade trees on the property. Cactus Country offers a mix of tent and RV sites. Tent sites are equipped with privacy fencing and a picnic table, while RV sites have full hookups (30- and 50-amp electricity), cable TV connections and picnic tables. The site offers a central location for exploring many of the outdoor attractions around Tucson, such as Catalina and Picacho Peak State Parks.

Gatlinburg, Tennessee

Located 12 miles outside of the center of the popular southeastern Tennessee mountain resort destination of Gatlinburg, this Adventure Bound Camping Resort offers convenient access to hiking, mountain biking, white water rafting, canyoning and other outdoor sports in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. It is also in a good position for family outings to area attractions like Dollywood. The Gatlinburg facility is the only Adventure Bound campground located in the Southeast.

The campground offers a mix of tents-only campsites, RVs-only campsites, and joint tent-and-RV campsites. All campsites have at least water and electrical hookups (30 or 50 amps), picnic tables and fire rings. Many sites are set in wooded, shady locations, and several are alongside the stream that runs through the property. Among the amenities are an outdoor swimming pool and a 500-foot-long water slide. Rental cabins are also available.

Robesonia, Pennsylvania

One of several Adventure Bound resorts in the mid-Atlantic region, the Eagles Peak campground is located in east-central Pennsylvania less than 20 miles from Reading. Surrounded by thousands of acres of forest and on the periphery of the Amish Country, Eagles Peak is just 5 miles from the boating and fishing of Blue Marsh Lake.

Tent campers have a choice of primitive tent-only sites in wooded locations and grassy, joint RV-and-tent sites with picnic tables, fire rings, water and electrical hookups (30 or 50 amps) and cable TV connections. RV campers can choose from full hookup sites either on dirt strips in the woods or in the grassy meadow, each equipped with a picnic table, cable TV connections and a fire ring. Among its amenities, the campground counts a pair of swimming pools; miniature golf; pedal karts; camp store; coin laundry; game room, two playgrounds; courts for shuffleboard, volleyball, basketball and horseshoes; and a private fishing pond.
