Delaware is the second smallest state in the nation, yet has a large range of opportunities for outdoor recreation and activities. The Delaware River and Bay are easily accessible, and portions of the state enjoy the Atlantic Ocean for its coastline. Sailing, swimming, canoeing, sea-kayaking, bird-watching and wildlife observation are all possible along the many waterways and miles of coastline in Delaware. If traveling via RV to Delaware, there are several options for RV parks and campgrounds.

Holly Lake Camp Sites

Holly Lake Camp Sites offers camping sites for RV travelers and tent campers. Holly Lake has two miles of hiking trails on the property, making hiking access easy when staying at the campgrounds.

RV sites have 30-amp electric, water and sewer connections. Tent sites are primitive, but have picnic tables and fire rings. Check for posted rules regarding the use of outside firewood at the campground, as there are issues with insect infestation in the region.

Pets are allowed. Beach access is within 15 minutes. Sea-kayaking and bird-watching can be done along the coast. Wash off in the hot showers after a day playing at the beach or boating. Bathrooms and a guest house are on the premises.

Cedar Creek Landing Campground

Cedar Creek Landing has a four-diamond rating from Woodall's and is a Good Sam recognized RV park. There are sites for tent campers and RV travelers. Tent sites are near the RV sites. There are picnic tables and fire rings at tent camping sites.

RV sites have 30- and 50-amp electric, water, sewer and Wi-Fi connections. Pets are welcome if leashed. Bathrooms, showers, sports fields and courts, a guest room and a coin-operated laundry are on the premises. The Atlantic Ocean and Delaware Bay are within 15 minutes from the campground. There is fishing, bird-watching and sea-kayaking along the coast of the bay.

Treasure Beach RV Park and Campsites

Treasure Beach RV Park and Campsites offers sites for tents and RVs. Tent sites are primitive. There are fresh water taps where tent campers can get drinking and cooking water. Picnic tables and fire rings are at camping sites.

RV sites have water, sewer, 30- and 50-amp electric and Wi-Fi connections. Pets are allowed. Fishing and sea-kayaking can be enjoyed at the nearby Assateague Island National Seashore. Ranger-led nature walks and hikes are led at the national seashore. Road bicyclists can tour the many roads of the state.
