Arcadia, Florida is a mid-sized community in the southwestern portion of the state. Visitors to the Arcadia region can be in the Everglades within a two-hour drive, or at the beaches of the Gulf Coast within an hour and a half. Arcadia hosts three rodeos each year, making it a popular destination for cowboys and equestrians. Arcadia has several RV parks and campgrounds for both tent and RV campers.

Peace River Campground

Peace River Campground offers a variety of amenites for the tent and RV camper. Tent sites are primtive, but have fire rings and grills, and access to fresh water and picnicking facilities. RV sites have 30- or 50-amp electric, water and sewer connections. Pets are welcome. Fishing and canoeing can be enjoyed at the river. Bird-watchers can try spotting the many species of native and migratory species that frequent the area. Sea-kayakers can head for the Evergaldes and paddle the kayak-trails and routes within the national park, keeping an eye out for alligators, javelinas and flamingoes.

Little Willies RV Resort

Little Willies RV Resort can accommodate RVs of most sizes. The beaches of the Gulf Coast are within an hour and a half drive. The beaches offer surfing, sea-kayaking, saltwater fishing and scuba-diving. You can watch wildlife and birds in the other direction at Everglades National Park. The RV resort has sites with water, sewer and 30- or 50-amp electric connections. Pets are allowed. Hot showers, private toilets, a coin-operated laundry room and barbecue facilities are on the property. Little Willies can accommodate stays from one night to a full season with special rates.

Craig's RV Park and Resort

Fans of Bluegrass Music will enjoy staying at Craig's RV Park and Resort, as the park hosts frequent Bluegrass Concerts and impromptu jam-sessions for local and visiting musicians. If you are a bluegrass picker, bring your instruments with you to Craig's. Pets are allowed at Craig's. It is advised guests check the website for posted rules. RV sites have water, sewer and 30- or 50-amp electric connections. Tent campers can be accommodated with primitive campsites. There are hot showers, bathrooms and guest recreation areas. Lake Okeechobee is the east of Craig's. Visitors can canoe, kayak, fish and swim at the lake.
