Cold Spring is southwest of St. Cloud, Minnesota, in an area rich with small parks, lakes and outdoor activities. The campgrounds serving this area often combine accommodations, many amenities and recreation opportunities on the water and land.

El Rancho Manana

El Rancho Manana is located 6 miles northwest of Cold Spring. The park offers a security gate for added safety. Travelers will find basic, electric-only and full hookup sites available. There is an extra charge for pets. A dump station and a mobile dumping service are provided for greater convenience. The park has many extras to offer travelers, including music festivals, special themed beach activities and wagonette rides. The grounds contain hiking and biking trails. Dock space, boats and water bikes are available for rent, and a sandy beach is open for swimming. A skateboard park is featured in nearby Cold Spring.

Morning Star Seasonal Campground and Lodge

Morning Star is situated 8 miles outside of Cold Spring, at the tip of Rice Lake. The campground has 140 sites with full hookups ready at each 50-by-80-foot site. Five tent campsites are also provided. The park offers gas, oil and ice for sale and firewood and LP gas are available. Campers have access to a bathhouse and laundry room. The property offers a 9-hole disc golf course and many outdoor games. The lodge contains arcade and table games. Lake Koronis Regional Park is 8.5 miles from Morning Star and has a guarded swimming beach and several boat-launch sites.

St. Cloud Campground & RV Park

St. Cloud Campground is 20 miles northeast of Cold Spring, just outside of the city of St. Cloud. The park offers primitive camping and RV campsites. Full hookups and dump-station access are available. Free wireless high-speed Internet is provided. The shower house doubles as a severe weather shelter, and the laundry house is open around the clock. LP gas and RV supplies are sold on site, along with snacks and groceries. The park has a swimming pool, but the campground is well-placed for more recreation options. Several local golf courses are within a few miles of these accommodations. The Rotary Trail connects Bob Cross Park and Bob Cross Nature Preserve, 2.5 miles north in St. Cloud. Visitors can observe wetlands habitat and wildlife.
