Vertical columns of water spraying skyward as the Atlantic Ocean breaks against the coquina outcroppings of Blowing Rocks Preserve is among the attractions around Jupiter, Florida. Elsewhere, the Loxahatchee River winds a short course to Jupiter Inlet, where a mid-19th century lighthouse still maintains its vigil. Jonathan Dickinson State Park

The Loxahatchee River is one of only two Florida rivers designated as a National Wild and Scenic River. Five miles north of Jupiter, Jonathan Dickinson encompasses a portion of this river. Canoe and kayak rentals give visitors the opportunity to explore the water, and ambitious paddlers should note the park connects two segments of the Florida Circumnavigational Saltwater Paddling Trail. Hiking, biking and equestrian trails traverse the park, and anglers will find freshwater and saltwater species in the waters of the park. In addition to rental cabins and primitive campsites, the park offers guests developed campsites with electric and water hookups. Additional park amenities include a dump station, playground, picnic areas, boat ramp, restrooms and showers.

Juno Beach RV Resort

Primarily a residential mobile home park, Juno Beach RV Resort does offer full-hookup, back-in RV sites 4 miles south of Jupiter and only blocks from the Atlantic Ocean and the Juno Beach Fishing Pier. After fishing and sunbathing at the beach, guests can relax in the resort's pool and hot tub. Cultural diversions can be found at the Maltz Jupiter Theatre and the Henry Flagler Museum within a short drive of the resort.

West Jupiter Camping Resort provides an excellent base camp to explore the wildlife corridor stretching from the Loxahatchee River to Lake Okeechobee.
