RV Campgrounds near West Jordan, Utah
West Jordan, Utah is a mid-size bedroom community and suburb of metropolitan Salt Lake City. Outdoor activities of many sorts are available in the area. Rock-climbing and bouldering can be found south of the city and east in the Wasatch Mountains. Mountain biking trails are in the nearby Wasatch Range, and in Salt Lake City. Hiking trails are available in the Uinta Mountains, Wasatch and Bonneville Salt Flats area. RV travelers can find parks and campgrounds in the surrounding towns outside of West Jordan.

Mountain Shades RV Park

Mountain Shades RV Park is within 10 minutes of downtown West Jordan. RVs up to 60 feet in length can be accommodated at the pull-through or back-in sites. Water, sewer, cable TV, Wi-Fi and 30- or 50-amp electric connections are available at each site. Pets are welcome if leashed. Guests can use the showers, bathrooms, laundry facilities, guest house, dump station and playgrounds on the premises. Guests looking for hiking trails can drive to Park City (40 miles away) and hike the high-country trails of the Wasatch Mountains.

Salt Lake City KOA

Just 15 to 20 minutes (traffic depending) from the heart of West Jordan is the Salt Lake City KOA. RVs to 80 feet in length can be accommodated. 30- and 50-amp electric, water, sewer and cable TV hookups come with each site. Wi-Fi is available throughout the campground. Pets are welcome. There are picnicking facilities, a guesthouse with kitchen, showers, bathrooms and a coin-operated laundry room on the premises. The Great Salt Lake is 20 minutes from the campground. Visitors to the lake can try swimming in the super-briney lake, and enjoy the hiking trails that partially circumnavigate the shore.

Pony Express RV Resort

Pony Express RV Resort is within 20 minutes of West Jordan and provides a convenient location to explore the Wasatch Mountains, the Great Salt Lake, and Antelope Island within the Great Salt Lake. RV travelers staying at the Pony Express will find pull-through and back-in sites for RVs of most sizes. Water, sewer, and 30- or 50-amp electric are standard hookups at each site. A laundry room, hot showers and private toilets are on the grounds for guest use and comfort. Pets are welcome if leashed. Mountain biking trails, such as the six-mile Albion Trail, can be found in nearby Park City.
