Pollock Pines is located in El Dorado County, California and attracts many visitors year-round due to its impressive natural setting. Pollock Pines has many campgrounds where campers can enjoy activities like boating, swimming, fishing, hiking and wildlife viewing.

El Dorado National Forest

The El Dorado National Forest has campground sites for tents and RVs with amenities like picnic tables, fire rings, shower facilities and boat ramps. Some areas offer dump stations but no hookups. Trails are also available for hiking and bicycling. Other activities include swimming, fishing and water skiing. Skiing and snowshoe trails are open during winter. Some campgrounds are walk-in while some require reservations.

Ghost Mountain Ranch

Ghost Mountain Ranch is a 325-acre camp featuring 200 sites for tents, RVs and rental cabins. A 1,400-square-foot ranch house is available for bigger groups as well. Ghost Mountain offers tent sites with easy access to hiking and biking trails. RV sites have full and partial hookups. Other amenities include swimming pool, hot tub, laundry facilities, playground and BBQ grills. Guided horseback trails rides are available. Lake Tahoe is less than two hours away.

Sly Park Campground

Sly Park features eight campgrounds with a total of 191 sites for tents and RVs. The campsites have picnic tables, fire rings and barbecue grills. Dump stations are available. Activities include hiking, boating, fishing and wildlife viewing. Sites are close to the lake with dock access. Trails for horseback riding, hiking and bicycling are available. Jenkinson Lake at Sly Park offers rainbow, German brown, largemouth and smallmouth bass and bluegill. A valid California fishing license is required.
